Yesterday, we saw the Councillors do the AYLC mass dance "Do Ya".

Never thought I'd miss AYLC so much; not after hearing that song and seeing the enthusiastic dancers did all the memories started flooding in:

The late nights in school prepping up for aylc
The rehearsals in the audi as a panelist, with teachers scrutinising your poise
The nerve-wrecking moments onstage with Minister
The briefings with the various comms
The strict standards expected and imposed on us
The late-night action plan preparation and revisions
The impending fear of last-minute changes and miscommunications
The sheer tireness
The fac trainings and briefings
The logistical nightmares
The struggle to host the lantern-releasing
The last-minute learning of the OC dance
The crazy photo-taking session
The uber fun and high lcd afternoon
The writing of that long goodbye message on the Ops Room board
The awesome cheer from the OC over the phone
The last-minute rush to pack for India trip
The reflections typing over email
The sending off at the airport
The flight to India

Busy and harsh as it was, I never thought I would miss this event. But now, looking back, it has helped me grown a lot and has left much wonderful memories, of council, my brothers and friends, and certainly the escape from academics. But what really counted was that I may never get to experience something so awesome ever again. And that's what made aylc special, unique.

And I hope you guys feel it too, and make aylc 2011 even greater. Cuz we started it off and now it's time to share the experience. Wish I could be part of it, but I guess it's time to move on.

Back to biology!
