First post of the new year. Well, at least 2009's over. To think about it, 2009's been a year of many downs and few ups. A bad year maybe? Well, at least 2009's over.
Orientation's over, which is kindof sad yet relieving. Sad cuz sth you held on to so dearly and spent so much time on has ended. And it leaves a void in your mind, in your life. And with that void, the mind starts to wander. To think of stuff, impt or not, stupid or not. Secondly, it's relieving because the mad rush and high pressure are now over. And the response was indeed btr, as was the entire concept. Infinite thanks to all JC Councillors, esp the Org Comm ppl who have been working so hard to make this possible. Not forgetting our class facs who worked tirelessly and our kidnap 'ghosts' for their innovatively scary make-up! Game masters too! And of course, the actors - hilarious!
Well, it's kindof late but here're my resolutions for 2010:
1. To love econs. Life would suck studying a subject I do not rly like or am afraid of.
2. To learn to appreciate the Chinese language, and improve my Chinese (even after O's)
3. To do well for syf, and have fun in the process (improve my acting skills)
4. To devote more time to Welfare and raise the standards of our projects
5. To devote more time to my bro, friends and family, instead of being buried in work all the time
6. To be committed to tennis and attend lessons, in order to improve
7. To do more community service...it's about time I learnt to share and appreciate what I have
8. To help around the house with chores and such
9. To keep my desk neat and tidy
10. To read widely and appreciate (the more popular, for a start) literature
11. For 5E to be a bonded class
12. To learn to cook tom yam (so I can have em anytime)
13. For RVNCC to improve standards-wise and in terms of the spirit (apparently, I cant seem to forget ncc, though I'm no longer a member)
14. To spend more time coaching my brother
15. Continue to pursue jap & geog
So as you can see, it's mainly to do with time management and being there for others - sth I've neglected in 2009.
