Yesterday, my aunt & uncle came down from Vancouver.
After their 7-day quarantine (in case), it was really nice meeting up with them over lunch (chilli crabs!), chatting and laughing like mad. He's hilarious i tell you. They've been away since i think i was 4 or 5. But i know they really doted on me when I was young so it was heartwarmng getting to meet them again.
And after chatting, I really wanna go to vancouver! Haha they described it to be a really nice place. Weather, scenery, places and all. Air tickets, please? Then we can get to meet up everyday and tour the area. It would be a nice change of lifestyle, and a good place to enjoy a slower pace of life, which i desperately need. Apparently, vancouver's one of the most live-able cities in the world! Haha of course lah... almost free healthcare, inexpensive utilities, gorgeous views, nice apartments and great city environment. And they were saying we could apply for canadian citizenship cuz we were related. Tempting... Pbb in future when I grow up or sth, i'd do so. Maybe.
And not to mention, canada's geography is really interesting according to Uncle. Be it climate, geology etc. He's been describing it occasionally (I suspect he loves geog too :D)
Chatted with Kenneth who has since migrated to vancouver. He noted my nick and started chatting. He pretty much said the same thing about citizenship and school life thr (Which is way more interesting and manageable). Maybe when I grow up, i might move thr.
But as for now, I WANT A VACATION TO VANCOUVER! Dad, mum, shall we go after this whole flu thing blows over? Let's tour the area, chat, laugh, joke, shop and drive over to newfoundland, with aunt and uncle!
& of course, let's have more meet-ups/outings with aunt and uncle. They're a loving, refined, humourous couple, i'd say.
Pics later!

Two fun-filled saturdays in a row!
Last sat was PA outing. Not really full overall attendance but our batch hit full! Woots, finally! So we went to play Pool at CSS @ BB. My second time playing i think. My first time was in HQ. Yes, HQ! :O Cuz we had to entertain the us/uk/aust/nz/yadada cadets during Inbound.
Okay, that aside, i think it was quite okay lah.. teamed up with shao wei and managed to score some balls, though i missed the right-in-front-of-the-hole kindof balls. Utter dumbness at play. Epic fail. But it was great while it lasted (and seeing shao wei shout in disappointment and disguest when I missed such balls)... Sotong must play next time yo!
After that, jj, wc and yl came then we went bowling. Haish, didnt hit 100. 89 sucks; not even 90. And no strikes! Only spares. Xue Qiang pro! Striked idk-how-many-times and passed 100!
Haha after that, went to some zi-char place for dinner. Apparently, zi-char stalls have GSS promotions too - Free bowl of dessert for everyone! Lol! After that, took loads of pics then had prata before going home.
Let's do it again!

Read through the list of nominees for Council.
And I counted.
It took less than a hand; less than 5 fingers.
Imagine that.
I'm not pissed. In fact, maybe it's my fault. My fault that SWI-ians lost interest in Council, that they had insufficient exposure, that they disliked Council. And so they refused to run for Council. Maybe that's the case. In fact, the probable case.
But maybe it could be that they tried but didnt get through. The 9 nominations (excl mine) i wrote, and only 4 came through. Dun blame yourselves. I respect your choices and your attempts, but i know i gotta work on it if i get into 31st. Disappointed. That's the word.
To those who didnt get into the interviews or pass it, I'm really sorry. I know you tried your best but I sincerely do hope you'll join us in 32nd. But given my capabilities, the fact that that thought would come to your mind remains an uncertainty.

4, tht's the number of Y1-4 candidates originally from SWI, down from 10.Imagine that.

Congrats Part Cs, on your promotion!
For guys, Zhangyong, you shined for RVNC, Mr Trainfire Best!
I think we've got about 6 or 7 2SGs (someone, correct me if I'm wrong cuz everyone's been giving me diff figures). But anyway, a great great job to yall, and of course to the 3SGs cuz I know you guys did your very best too, I really do. So nonetheless, great job, Part Cs, you've surpassed us - a sure sign of an improvement! Let this pass on in years to come yea?
For the girls, astounding! 6 awards including a course best - Vivian! Great job and surely, RVNC's proud of ya. Hopefully yall continue to improve as rapidly as you did the past year yea?
Honestly, thurs was rather crazy with yude, samuel, chuan xun and qiao wei filling me in. It's nice to know that youre one of the first they share the good news with. And it's nice to know they had fun during the course. And it's of course nice to know they tried their very best. Didn't think i'd get such a nice response but you've made my day (night, rather)!
Well, it's been a year and i'm glad to know that the standards, at least for spec course results, have improved. It's nice to know it all paid off. Thanks for all your efforts, specs and cadets alike. Guess it's now time to let go. It may be a week later, a month later, somewhere in between, i don't know. But what I do know is that it'll be tough, though I always make it out to be a desire.

The following content may cause discomfort to some viewers. Viewer discretion is advised.
And now, for the greatest shock in physics history.... that has created shockwaves across the highly populated Republic of MSN, and possibly the freshly colonised Colonies of FB......
ALAN'S ACTUALLY READING COLLEGE PHYSICS!
"Where's my inhaler?"
"I need CPR....!"
"AHHHHH!!!"
"What has the world come to?!"
Apparently, it's cuz he has to read up for physics video and nrp literature review. Shocking as it may be, he has commented that he will read on in spite of tired eyes, mental fatigue and utter boredom. A case of desperation? Maybe. Stay tuned for more updates on this extraodinary phenomenon. A rarity indeed.

Done with chem and bio. Off to do NRP lit review. Gosh, 7 pages to be churned out.
& idk why biology's getting drier. I nearly died doing ecology assignment, after enduring through weeks of plant studies. I srsly hope A lvl bio would be better.
Mon was gmac meeting. He says it's okay for me to go to arts. Expect an explosion when I really enter it. Duh, he snatched away a geog book i was reading. Anw, i doubt i'd do arts.

It's been a day since the Part Cs went for Spec Course.
Feel kinda bad nt being able to see them off cuz of exco mtg. But I really do hope they are doing well. Idk, it's like in school, you die die also wanna train them up and stuff them with content, but you just dunno if they really learnt. We all preapred them so much just for these 4 days. And all of a sudden, everything that used to be so distant, is right smack in front of you.
I really do hope they are coping well and probably even aceing through the tests. And of course, I hope they will put in their best into everything and pull through victoriously. And for the few ones, the spec course PT test is my greatest apprehension. Push on, even if it's just 1. For self, for RVNC.
The specs have tried our best to prep them up so I do hope everyone's (including the Part Cs') efforts will pay off as we herald in a new batch of Sergeants, filled with a sense of accomplishment, enthusiasm and duty, 2 days later.

Went to the PC Show with David today.
But before that, we went swimming. Needed to exercise after slacking the past week. And I left my trunks in the showers. Shucks.Damn it.Wth._ They were new! Like it was my first time wearing them today. And I thought they were nice. Sh*t. Damn pissed. I'm so gonna buy a new pair of the same design asap, unless there is a better design out there. Damn, damn, damn.
PC Show was crowded as usual. Saw some real good bargains but well, i dun really intend to change any of my gadgets so yeah, sheesh. And it's a great disappointment that Lumix nor Nikon set up booths this year.
Went to starbucks at vivo after that and shopped around for clothes, books and toy-watching.
Damn it, I liked that pair of trunks. Sh*t. Oh, maybe I can get white trunks this time. Maybe not.

Chem.Comm was great:
2nd!
All the long rehearsals and studying were worth it after all! Kinda liked the whole experience, from heats through now. Competition trainings couldnt have been more fun(ny). Doubt any competitions would be this great, with serious mugging amidst hilarious rehearsals. Rly like to thank mdm ong and ms khang esp for their utmost dedication and support! :D
To all RV teams, great job! Everyone put up a great fight for sure! Hopefully in '11, RV would win the champion award. Talkshow? Maybe.
Initially, I was rather skeptical that we'd get top 3 cuz ya, we cramped in so much content that it might be difficult to absorb. Turned out, we did great in spite of a whole row of red-blazers and a camcorder. Great job, team!
Now that Chem.Comm's over, it's GMAC. I need a break from script writing. Jiayou everyone!
Had CCA today for the future specs. Wasnt all to satisfied with their performance but I guess I gta trust them to do their best on Monday. Hey guys, if you're reading this, make sure y'all put on your best for RVNC. We'll be counting on ya ;D
Saturday's PA outing! Bowling, batch photos, dinner, catching up! So looking forward to it. Hope everyone can make it then.
Alright, back to Biology!

Back from hiatus!
Not really hiatus. Rather, couldnt find the time or mood to blog.
NRP's getting worrying with my project deviating from the original scope threatening to not be acknowledged by NTU, acc to mr chow. And prof miao's not emailing me his appeal letter. Shucks, I really hope he didnt forget to write to the Uni. Haish.. it's rly worrying me..
That aside, ive been sleeping past 3 the past few nights.. just cldnt sleep. Cynthiang, dun follow me. Tonight, I promised her to sleep early bt i guess I cant. Gta go thru my lines and prepare for tmr's prac. Wed's Chem.Comm and I really dun feel prepared. Maybe it's cuz ive been editing the script too many times that we dun hve proper reh (sorry guys!). Oh well, wallowing in self-pity isnt gna get me anywhere so I guess I'd btr pick myself up and push on! For the goal, I'd better and I'd want to.
