Finally found some time to blog (Yes, I shall procrastinate studying for Physics test)

Saturday was Earth Hour. Shut all the lights at home to vote for Earth. Yes, global warming's a very real issue. Freak weather, rising sea levels, ozone layer depletion. It's all happening. Eventually Singapore will suffer too.

"Save the Earth! Stop global warming"
- adapted from RVHS' NSC Script

That aside, I really found peace and relaxation during Earth Hour. Not only cuz I know I'm making a statement against global warming, but also because it tends to slow my lifestyle down. Like I dun have to worry abt doing hw cuz gt no lights. Somehow forces me to relax. The emotional shift was rly apparent: Like when there was no lights, I was relaxed. When the lights were turned on, the hw mania starts: stress.

Sun was spent at Taman Jurong doing Door-to-Door visits to interview residents if they needed govt aid in any area (find jobs, financial aid etc), on behalf of the RC/CC/CDC there. Really learnt to appreciate my parents better esp from the case of the depressed mother who has 2 unfilial and lazy daughters (but 1 young and obedient one) and who has to raise them by herself with food from neighbours. Forced to endure the hardship by herself (2 daughters cldnt be bothered), it really dawned upon me how much parents loved their children to go thru anything for them. Perhaps it's time I learnt to treasure my parents and help them whenever I can.

Tht aside, was grouped with yb and 2 other students from nus medicine. One of them was really pro. He examined the hands of a resident with high blood pressure to ascertain his illness, checked thru medical history, recommended medical schemes to residents and even checked the medication. All this when he is just a student. Pei4 fu2 pei4 fu2. But he said medicine was hard to get in. I managed to apply some knowledge from bio there, to understand some diseases the patients suffer from.

"Dun say you can't get in. I thought so, but still, I got in. It's really not impossible."
