Back from hiatus.
Not really hiatus since it was almost all work no play:
1. UG Camp from Fri to Sun
2. Advanced Drill Course from Mon to Thurs
UG Camp was rather alright. Standard was just nice given tht the experience wasnt so traumatic for certain platoons. I mean, nacistic treatment will only scare people off, esp Part As. But I'm proud of Part As! They managed to survive bunk check TOGETHER and in the end felt THAT sense of satisfaction. Kendrick and David, you've done well so continue the good work! That aside, admin was a little screwed as the files wont ready on time, training was fine and logi was great except for field cooking. Best cadet interview was woah. Shant go on further. No point. Will do AAR with Delta instead.
Bt nvrtheless, great job RVNCC (I mean it): Specs for cooperating and trying your best ot pull things together and the cadets for your obedience and hard work. Qiao Wei, dun stress! Lol, she was so worried about the schedule I bet she didnt sleep well. Shld rly thank her for doing prog while I settled admin and logi.
ADC was alright. I know I'm supposed to miss it since it's my last NCC Camp (probably). While I do miss it a little, somehow it dosent have that deep impression or post-camp blues as in Senior Specialists' or Specialists'. And do you know how you'll feel an immense sense of achievement and pride after you have achieved something? Somehow I didnt. Not even the lanyard gave me that feeling. I wonder.
ADC 09: Chikong! Had a great time with you guys esp crapping all the way. Jiayou with your units and hope to see you guys soon around HQ or in parades (if I have the time to go down)! Special thanks to the instructors for their hilarious "bloody hell!" series and of course passing of knowledge to noobie me, and samuel and hafiz for that hilariously horny talk!
That aside, ADC was unique in that we learnt stuff we usually wont: Sword drills (I kissed a sword! Oh baby. Almost.), Colours drill (the Colours pole owns the shyt outta your arm muscles!), rifle drills (I want SAR21 drills)! Maybe it's time RVNCC edited her training regime.
Anw, saw loads of ICEP USA 08 people while I was in HQ during ADC: Kailin, Annisa, Ken, Jun Hong and Adrian. & cheer up, tkl! Fight on like that self-righteous tkl we knew! ICEP USA 09 - RVNCC Part C: get a spot and continue the tradition. Jiayou!
