The best thing this week was probably the completion of Geo-Ad for NUS GC! Infinite thanks to Fang Qi for staying up past midnight for 3 consecutive days just to get it done. & of course for tahan-ing the dumb dumb software (+ those extra kilos from stress-induced gorging. Lol sounds so scientific). Thanks to Kathy for bearing with dumbo Flash to do the animation, Hui Min for the music, Steph and Ruo Qi for the reviewing. It was a great experience I bet.
Lol I won't upload the video unless it gets a high score. So pray hard if you wanna see it. Lol. But I shall wait for NUS to upload it to youtube then I link cuz now, the file is too big to be uploaded to Blogger. Good things come with patience. (If we score well tht is!) Ok, enough egocentric talk.
Gtg read up for ACJC Geog Quiz. Geography of China! of Japan! of Hong Kong! of Korea! of Taiwan!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Part C guys, it's the final lap. It's the final challenge. It's the final experience.
I know loads of ppl look down on you guys and are super disappointed in you guys. But hey, prove them wrong! Your platoon may not cooperate but if you take the first step, u change yourself. Then you may be able to influence others. It all starts with you. And only you. No one else can help you now; your PC and APC have rly done their best and still the situation deproves.
I dun wish to have to deny you guys the positions or ranks. But if you guys can prove yourselves worthy and competant, I'll be more than happy to hand over the company to you guys. C'mon guys, it aint that difficult if you start listening and start being receptive to comments.
Simple things like turning up for activity, turning up for competitions, listening to advice, helping your platoon mates who face problems in CCA, improving your personal drills, not talking back o your specialists. I dun have to list everything out cuz I know you guys know what they are. If you dun, ask, it's not to late. If you do, please (& I mean PLEASE) practise them. You arent incapable, you just dun find that motivation. But once you start and some (or even most) get influenced, your platoon's morale will rise and you will definitely enjoy CCA.
It all lies in your hands. You decide the outcome. You pilot the future of RVNCC.
Jiayou! I'll be behind you guys. I'll wait for the day you guys achieve. I'll do my best to help you guys. I will.
"Will you guys promise to do your best?"
"Yes Sergeant Major!"
Honour those words. Do your very best. Don't hold back.

Went down to school for training for ACJC Geography Quiz. I really gotta buck up and study my notes! Nearly flunk the mock test I think. Tho I managed correctly guess some of my answers. & I thought Harajuku was the place for Otakus. Anyway, I am just gonna get some time to study for it and hopefully get into the Finals with the team.
Afterwhich, went down to URA Gallery with Mr Chan, Mr Hor, Ms Or and the rest of the NUSGC team. Shucks I dun wanna go back there anymore. Yes it's beautiful and amazing. But tht's precisely why I dun wanna go back there. Cuz I'll get enticed into moving to all the various places like Punggol for its scenic waterfront living and Jurong for the new hub chock-full of entertainment! Maybe I shall work there some day and amaze myself with the possibilities (& entice other people to move houses).
Had Mac's at Tiong bahru with the NUSGC team and ironed out some details for Geo-Ad. It'll be great! Jiayou with Flash, Kathy. Jiayou with Movie Maker, Fang Qi. Jiayou everyone! Rushed down to DSO later for some security briefing which was basically 3 of us sitting there listening to some security officer go on about camera phones and camera lenses and document bans.
& now, I'm back home procrastinating over my HCL homework. I shall do Biomed first, then LA, then SS, then Geog, then HCL (Tho I think I will do in the opposite order cuz of priority. Dang it. I.Hate.HCL.Homework.Period.)
Not really hiatus since it was almost all work no play:
1. UG Camp from Fri to Sun
2. Advanced Drill Course from Mon to Thurs
UG Camp was rather alright. Standard was just nice given tht the experience wasnt so traumatic for certain platoons. I mean, nacistic treatment will only scare people off, esp Part As. But I'm proud of Part As! They managed to survive bunk check TOGETHER and in the end felt THAT sense of satisfaction. Kendrick and David, you've done well so continue the good work! That aside, admin was a little screwed as the files wont ready on time, training was fine and logi was great except for field cooking. Best cadet interview was woah. Shant go on further. No point. Will do AAR with Delta instead.
Bt nvrtheless, great job RVNCC (I mean it): Specs for cooperating and trying your best ot pull things together and the cadets for your obedience and hard work. Qiao Wei, dun stress! Lol, she was so worried about the schedule I bet she didnt sleep well. Shld rly thank her for doing prog while I settled admin and logi.
ADC was alright. I know I'm supposed to miss it since it's my last NCC Camp (probably). While I do miss it a little, somehow it dosent have that deep impression or post-camp blues as in Senior Specialists' or Specialists'. And do you know how you'll feel an immense sense of achievement and pride after you have achieved something? Somehow I didnt. Not even the lanyard gave me that feeling. I wonder.
ADC 09: Chikong! Had a great time with you guys esp crapping all the way. Jiayou with your units and hope to see you guys soon around HQ or in parades (if I have the time to go down)! Special thanks to the instructors for their hilarious "bloody hell!" series and of course passing of knowledge to noobie me, and samuel and hafiz for that hilariously horny talk!
That aside, ADC was unique in that we learnt stuff we usually wont: Sword drills (I kissed a sword! Oh baby. Almost.), Colours drill (the Colours pole owns the shyt outta your arm muscles!), rifle drills (I want SAR21 drills)! Maybe it's time RVNCC edited her training regime.
Anw, saw loads of ICEP USA 08 people while I was in HQ during ADC: Kailin, Annisa, Ken, Jun Hong and Adrian. & cheer up, tkl! Fight on like that self-righteous tkl we knew! ICEP USA 09 - RVNCC Part C: get a spot and continue the tradition. Jiayou!

NUS Geography Challenge - I know it's very taxing and difficult to meet up to film and prep it up. But hey, let's go crazy and give it our all alright? Jiayou! We got past the evil MCQs, fun AQ, now it's Geo-Ad and Geo-Trail. It's too late to give up or slacken. & did I mention I saw Jiawen at NUS that day? Heh, cheer up! :D
March Camp - Part Ds jiayou! Let's do this once and well. Together, we can. Qiaowei, Joycelin and Wei Qiang: Sorry for leaving you guys with so much work as I was busy with Freestyle, GC and GQ; I'm trying to catch up and do as much as I can to compensate. Juniors: Dun get too uptight. Think of it as a challenge you face - one you would tackle and win!
ACJC Geography Quiz - Jiayou with the deep and wide content! Let's live up to the standards our seniors set for us!
Chem.Comm - Let's do our best to entertain our way thru it and impressing whoever's in our way (and the judges too)! Hope we will work well together in spite of our busy schedules.

Aurora Borealis, also know as the Northern Lights!
Courtesy of: http://onemansblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/03/AuroraBorealis.jpg
These aurorae are usually found in the polar regions (in the arctic islands off Canada in this case), in the ionosphere - a layer of the atmosphere filled with ions.
1. Aurorae are formed when charged particles from the Sun (electrons / protons) collide with atoms / molecules in the atmosphere.
2.As they have higher energies than solar wind, the particles are trapped by the Earth's magnetic field.
3. Under a southward magnetic field, the particles charge towards Earth and collide with particles in the upper atmosphere which in turn excites them.
4. The excitation energy is released as light energy, giving us the colours of the aurorae: green or red for atomic oxygen and deep red or bright blue/violet for N2 or nitrogen ions.
Well, complex as it sounds, it's just a mass of collisions among charged particles in the upper atmosphere to release light energy that well-fascinates one with the wonders of geography - its aesthetically pleasing masterpieces.

Isn't the view great? Well these 12 Apostles are actually 12 limestone stacks formed due to wave erosion at exposed coasts. They used to be joined to the cliffs. Each started as a headland, and then into an arch as a cave eroded into the base of the headland, enlarges over time. Over time, so much rock gets eroded tht the arch loses support and collapses, forming a stack.
As of today, there are less than 12 (can't seem to find out how many actually) as some of them have collapsed or become submerged stumps due to continual erosion. Nevertheless, the panoromic scenery simply captures the wonders of Geography - the masterfully sculpted landforms.
Was busy with freestyle the past few days. Had hiong trg on thurs, fri and sat.
Well, even though we didnt win yesterday, I guess it was a good lesson and experience. At least now I know how much you guys really care. This is only our first attempt. If we dun succeed this year, we can always try again next year. And we the stuff we learnt:
- More creativity
- Start planning earlier
- More rehearsals (full-attendance, full-dress)
- Proper training venues,
I am sure that with this same level of commitment or more, you guys will improve next year. Way to go, boys. We didnt fail. Yeah I know some of you guys, like BD, were really disappointed. But I hope this wont affect your morale in CCA but fuel your will to succeed in future. Jiayou!
Guess it'll be a busy week (and holidays) ahead.
Busy holidays? How ironic.
For next week, I'll be busy with NUSGC, SMP, CCA and MARCH CAMP(!!!)
Holidays' Mon to Thurs will be spent in HQ attending ADC and Fri will be spent in school preparing for ACJC Geog Quiz.
What a wonderful holiday. Perhaps I'm destined to be a workaholic.

Had NUS Geography Challenge on saturday at nus fass. The mcq test was damn difficult. Economic geog, geomorphology, hydrology etc. PPP? Mass movement? NATO? Thomas Maltus? OMG?
First thing when i got the paper? "Die!" But according to i-forgot-who, the questions were beyong uni standard, at least some are. No wonder they looked like Greek. Anw, AQ was alright.
But the best part was that we still managed to get in. Miracle. Well, since we got it, let's do our best for geo-ad and geo-trail and aim high, dream big! Cannot drop further anymore. Jiayou!
Subway-ed with david at suntec to celebrate our birthday and went to vivo to play PS3 and chill at starbucks. Simple and nice. And fun! He's pro at driving and he knows truckloads about cars. Went to The Line and Shangri-La for birthday dinner with my relatives. Waited for the bus for like 30 mins? Damn. Freaking. Pissed.
Yesterday was my birthday & david's. Happy belated birthday david. Thanks to all those who wished me happy birthday and sent me bday sms-es: ncc juniors, sc juniors, 4A, PA, best friend, seniors, ncc delta 09, people i havent contacted since galaxies ago . But most importantly, infinite thanks to the 4A guys for getting tht coffee cake and waiting for me for so long to celebrate with me! Rly a pleasant surprise I seriously appreciated and enjoyed. Didnt really expect it. And PA for singing tht song so loudly. Thanks! Haha.
Anw, gtg now. Lol, so abrupt. But seriously, bye.
"Am I in Heaven? Is this Heaven?!"
