To Pissed:

Ihave clarified the matter with Mystery Boy, one of the guys from the concerned class yesterday.

I shall clarify and please read word for word to avoid any misunderstandings:

I apologise NOT because I am humji or what. I apologised cuz I knew I was wrong for citing the wrong reasons (they did not cheat not cuz they wanted to get high marks but cuz the answers were placed on their tables). I apologise to the concerned class (I shall not disclose the identity but if you want, Pissed, I will. Just leave me a tag) for what I cited wrongly. However, the fact is the matter did happen, regardless of the reasons.

And besides, let me reiterate: I posted on the 3 classes cuz I was certain those comments were verified true since I was in one of those classes and I heard the other comments from the horse's mouth. I did not comment on your class NOT because I was implying you all cheated but because I heard about your class through rumours. Obviously, I did not want to accuse you guys wrongly so I declined to comment about you guys. Simple as that. And by doing so, can you tell me how I was wrong? Especially since I did not disclose your class' name and even declined to spread the rumour on my blog?

Well, Mystery Boy and I had a thrash-out last night and you stated your reasons. I accepted them and apologise in the below post. He agreed to let this matter rest when I posted. And I did. I know you are furious, feel wronged and humiliated for the wrong reasons cited, but I am sorry to your class as I am. And I dun want to strain the relations between us further. So shall we just let this matter rest and move on? Please reply through the tagboard. It may not work cuz of network errors (sorry) but do try so we can get this settled. And please, cool down or else we'll never get over this.

Lastly, please do me a favour and help me clear any misunderstandings amog your classmates. If there is anything, please leave me a tag and I'll reply asap.

Sorry for you misunderstanding that I was implying about accusing your class but it really was not intentional.

I really had no intentions of accusing anyone cuz I just heard about 2 classes. What I heard about your class was rumours and I didnt post them cuz I did not want to accuse you guys wrongly.

(Sorry, I know you don't want any edits, but I really would like to get this off my chest & do not get offended: Please refrain from flaming or using vulgarities to champion your cause, especially here on my blog, Mystery Boy.)

P.S Mystery Boy, do tag if you are unhappy about the above comment in brackets. We will talk them out nicely.

I'm really sorry if I implied about your class but hey, I already said in the post, not to blame me if I left out any classes. Please re-read carefully: "I have not heard of other involved classes so yea, dont get me wrong if I left you guys out". & note, I said "I have not heard", which means I did not know of any other classes involved in whatever ways. It does not mean that I purposely left some classes out or accussed any class.

In all honesty, it was really not deliberate as at that point of time, information was not as clear: rumours and all. Those I blogged about were heard by me, from the horse's mouth. Other rumours which I heard from other people, I did not post them cuz you know how controversial it can get right? So I was merely stating facts that I heard of, and avoided any rumours or possibly untrue stuff. So I really dont get how you arrived at the conclusion that I was accussing your class. Take things in context.

If you choose to think of it as a direct attack on your class, I guess whatever I say would help right? But I'd just like to let you guys know that whatever I said was in general cuz it's just what I heard so no offence intended. & I really had no idea your class was involved, seriously. So please do not take offence with regard to this matter. & please exercise courtesy and ascertain your ideas before jumping to conclusions. Thank you and do reply.

Math test today was scary.

Air-con, check. Shivering hands, check. Cold feet, check. Fast heartbeat, check.

Scary as it was, I was basically checking thru all questions till I merely managed to scrpae through the last question. Phew. But I think I have 1 wrong le. I've always knew I lacked math sense.

Anw, watched "Whose Line Is It Anyway" on Star just now. Haha it was damn hilarious. It's basically a game show where comedians contruct a comedy sketch based on phrases given by viewers, on the spot:

"We're sorry for the interruption in Beauty & the B*east to bring you this bulletin"

"Over the past 30 years, he's recorded an ASTOUNDING 4 songs, across 28 albums!"

"I used to be in a honkytonk band when I was younger"
"Really?"
"No" (Ok, this is common I know)

"& we did not slow the tape down. That was how she sang"

Just som of the jokes I remembered. Maybe not as funny cuz I dont remember the exact phrasing. But their ability to think ont heir feet was truly inspiring and amazing. So xian4 mu4, esp since I tend to crap out stuff when asked to think on my feet - stuff that dont make sense.

Rainy day today... sian. Off to do math integration hw.

Post-Tennis Blues... I wanna hit those balls forcefully and chat happily and laugh hysterically and run crazily.

Haha, but it'll be even better if Jiawen's going too. Similar interests (:

Anw, watched Alvin & the Chipmunks on Star Movies today. Cute!

Oh oh! Watch "Over Her Dead Body"!! Super hilarious, albeit poor reviews.

"Ahhhh!!" (Falls off building)
"Oh my god!" (Rushes to window and looks down)
"Hi" (smirks)

*Doorbell* *Dog bark* *Fart* *Male voice* These were some hilarious sabo-ing tricks.

But the ending was heartwarming. Stars Eva Longoria (that pretty but desperate housewife).

That aside, happy birthday Wei Qiang! Haha, indeed, you had a great day eh? Heez.

Anw, besides watching movies, today was spent cramming for math which i'm so gonna die for tomorrow. Hopefully I can differentiate ln properly!

But on the bright side... I COMPLETED MY VHDL HOMEWORK! Miracles do happen, don't they. Thanks alot, bro! Couldnt have completed it otherwise. But right, my version of Xilinx ISE doesnt have the correct device. Sucks. & to think I downloaded till 100% but zq and ash have the correct device in spite of their 35% download. Eeyer, reinstall also no use. Dumb laptop. Dumb ISP. Dumb software.

Haish, didnt get to go swimming today cuz of the weather. Went running instead. Heh, but for the first time, running feels great, owing to the cool weather and breeze. Really needed to run it all out and prepare myself for the busy week ahead:

Mon: Math Test ohmygod!
Tues: Freestyle practice & CCA + NUSGC training
Wed: SMP
Thurs: LA essay test
Fri: Freestyle practice & CCA + NUSGC training
Sat: NUSGC, birthday celebration with David (Haha, we share the same birthdate!), birthday celebration with relatives @ Shangri-La

Week full of tests )): But it's alright, we'll pull through. All the best to all you readers out there!

Yesterday was Tennis!

After 2 or 3 months, I finally got myself down to tennis lessons. *Applause*

C'mon, it's really difficult to find time on Saturdays esp after the hectic week. Anw, 1st lesson it might have been, but it really was the tennis class I never once knew:

1. I actually managed to return those menacing fast balls
2. I actually survived doubles and singles (okay, inconsistently that is)
3. I actually talked alot to quite some people during lesson: Ben, Michael, Wesley and Alvin. The rest were real friendly too. Maybe they actually are, just that in the past, I didnt dare to talk to them. They are pros aftall. But well, it turned out great! & they are so hilarious with all that suaning and jokes.

Can't go for tennis next week cuz of NUSGC ): But hey, NUSGC wont be that bad either right? Besides, I'll definitely go for tennis the next next sat! Oh yes baby, time to hit some balls!

I really gotta work on my consistency and alertness to fast balls! Did I mention I gta stop hitting balls outta the court (and into the swimming pool)?

Omg! ICEP USA 09's Admin Instructions are out! on NCC webbie.

Ahh! The nostalgia - simply overwhelming.

The 4am check-in. The storm-stricken flight. The crazy H-Flight Cheer. The HMS Prince of Wales and HMS Repulse, Sir. The academics. The toot-shoots. The theme parks. The factory outlets. The mall race. The river tour. The mexican food (?). The friends made. The US drills. The experience.

Someone tell me we'd meet up again to relive these memories!

Heh, but this year, they are going to The Citadel @ South Carolina, not San Antonio. More prestigious i guess! But wont be as fun le :( Bleah. Saw the schedule... it's all spent at the Citadel. No theme parks and shopping like us (1 week somemore). HAHA, IN YOUR FACE. Nah just kidding, maybe they will end up changing it again. But who cares, RV must get in! Continue the tradition - 1 cadet per year to USA!

Ahh, I wanna go to that country again with those 13 people. Baby, tell me it'll come true.

Ambitions. What are ambitions? Are they merely our dream jobs? Or do they have a deeper significance in determining our life journey? Besides guiding us towards our dream jobs, ambitions certainly influence us in our choice of study, our future lifestyle, our monetary assets, our social and family life etc.

Personally, my ambitions have ranged from scientific ones to artistic ones, usual ones to unpredictibly random ones. Let's see:

When I was merely in Primary School, I dreamt of becoming a doctor, having been inspired by my Uncle who always seems to exterminate the bug by feeding me some pills. Indeed, I was fascinated by the action of drugs and the prospects and working environment. I mean, who can resist the prestige of a "Doctor" salutation, sitting in a air-con room waiting for patients (money), high consultation fees and all?

Oh and when I was young, I totally loved trains, for some random reasons like they are so fast and nice. So I thought of becoming an MRT driver. But travelling on the MRT almost daily has made me think it's simply a mundane job of pressing buttons and all tht. Low pay maybe?

Listening to the radio daily after PSLE caught my eye for the DJ profession, playing games, music, interviewing, conducting road shows and more. So uber cool. But then again, I'll be super busy like preparing content daily and all tht.

Upon entering Y1, I wanted to be a life scientist playing around with bacteria, viruses and all that.

Soon, my ambitions shifted towards the chemical aspect - a medicinal chemist inventing new medication and investigating alternative medication. Working in high tech labs like those in biopolis and playing with cool lab equipment was so attractive. This sure yielded high pay, but a Master's degree is essential (sth I probably would not bother wasting time on).

Well maybe then, I realised being a scientist was way outta my reach so I thought of becoming a teacher. Sure I can still engage in science and even my newly found obsession with the Humanities. The job certainly allows me to inspire students to love the subject and all that, but marking homework, dealing with rebellious students and even adhering to school rules probably turned me away from the job.

Upon returning from US, I thought of becoming an air steward, captivated by the prospects of travelling the world for free, meeting people of various nationalities, flying on board planes and all that. Catch was the irregular working hours that probably meant I'll be called outta bed at ungodly hours to fly to some random corner of the Earth. Besides, other than those big airline companies, it will be hard to settle in smaller companies that offer lower pay and prestige.

So maybe I cant travel as much, but how about a career in tourism I thought. Travelling prospects, tourist satisfaction, exploring the world (and SG). But obviously, people discouraged me like hell for they think SG has no tourism prospects and that qualifications required are low. Says who?

Along came this subject called Drama which allows me to just let go and hang loose, impersonating anyone I wanna be, without having to face consequences and being able to understand the feelings of characters and their motives. Obviously, pursuing a career in entertainment was dirty business and filled with papparazzi and expectations to meet. Fail and out you go - a dog-eat-dog world indeed.

As for now, I do admit I still would enjoy having a taste of all these jobs in my lifetime. But in terms of educatinal qualifications, i may not be able to afford so much money and time. Maybe I should stick to a stable job like a doctor or teacher. Tie3 fan4 wan3 as honglaoshi puts it.

Heard of all those quizzes which try to decipher your thinking by asking you a series of random questions? I mean, how on Earth can they possibly work? Esp those questions tht require no link answers like shuffle your mp3 player and answer the question with whichever song is playing.
Anw, I spotted one on joy's blog and decided to give it a try (just to prove i'm right):

Q: IF SOMEONE SAYS "IS THIS OKAY?", YOU SAY?
A: "Stars Are Blind" by Paris Hilton
Omg, so insulting! Yes, they must be blind to accept your idea.

Q: WHAT DO YOU LIKE IN A GUY/GIRL?
A: "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz
Woah woah, that sounds so possessive. But think of it in another way: staying faithful is way more important, and probably the most important aspect in a r/s.

Q: HOW DO YOU FEEL TODAY?
A: "Apologise" by OneRepublic
Apologetic maybe? Yeah possibly. I gta stop jumping to conclusions.

Q: WHAT IS YOUR LIFE’S PURPOSE?
A: "Not In Love" by Enrique Iglesias
What?! I don't wanna die a lonely old fogey (nt that i will become one).

Q: WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO?
A: "Lollipop" by Mika
No link -.- Maybe to make everything uber sweet? Maybe not. Sounds so gay-ish.

Q: WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS THINK OF YOU?
A: "Chao Xi Huan Ni" by Fahrenheit
Tyty! I always knew I'm popular (Yeah right, stop bluffing yourself, alan). But how great it would be if it's always true eh?

Q: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR PARENTS?
A: "This is My Town" by idk who (it's some M1 Ringtone).
Sounds so rebellious! Nono, I shall try to be a good & filial son, as dictated by Law (pun intended)

Q: WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT VERY OFTEN?
A: "Lovebug" by Jonas Brothers
No, I am not that chiqing/huachi over girls. Eh you! I'm no flirt, shutupshutup.

Q: WHAT IS 2+2?
A: "Are You Online" by Lynn
LOL!

Q: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR BEST FRIEND?
A: "La La La Love Song" by BoA
What the. He's a guy for heaven's sake.

Q: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE PERSON YOU LIKE?
A: "Breaking the Habit" by Linkin Park
No link -.-

Q: WHAT IS YOUR LIFE STORY?
A: "Thanks for the Mmrs" by Fall Out Boy
Maybe that's what I'll name my best-seller autobiography (which you and all lit students shall diligently read)

Q: WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?
A: "Crush" by David Archuleta
Be someone's crush? Or be crushed?

Q: WHAT DO YOU THINK WHEN YOU SEE THE PERSON YOU LIKE?
A: "T-shirt" by Shontelle
"With nothing but your t-shirt on". Interesting, but just kidding.

Q: WHAT DO YOUR PARENTS THINK OF YOU?
"This is My Town" by idk who (some M1 ringtone)
So it's mutual eh? LOL.

Q: WHAT WILL YOU DANCE TO AT YOUR WEDDING?
A: "Shut Up & Drive" by Rihanna
Drive to the airport to catch the honeymoon flight. Lol, jk. I'll prefer some hot salsa music or romantic love songs. Much more befitting.

Q: WHAT WILL THEY PLAY AT YOUR FUNERAL?
A: "Please Don't Stop the Music" by Rihanna
Ah shut up!

Q: WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY/INTEREST?
A: "To Love You More" by Celine Dion
Heh, what do you think?

Q: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR FRIENDS?
A: Stop & Stare - One Republic
OMG! I got the exact same song Joy got! Out of a million gazillion songs.

Q: WHAT’S THE WORST THING THAT COULD HAPPEN?
A: Pride of Tomorrow" by JUNE
Rmbr how I said I hated egoists? If not, you really should read my profile.

Q:HOW WILL YOU DIE?
A: "Womanizer" by Britney Spears
?! No, I shall not be some deprived soul who dies from some STD or heart attack in bed. I-am-no-flirt.

Q: WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU REGRET?
A: "Year 3000" by Jonas Brothers
Yeah maybe cuz by then, the Govt shall exhume my grave to build some new MRT station (or toilet).

Q: WHAT MAKES YOU LAUGH?
A: Superman" by Five for Fighting
I mean, who wears his underwear outside? Tight ones somemore.

Q: WHAT MAKES YOU CRY?
A: "Ai Wo" by Tang Yu Zhe
No link -.- (again). & I don't cry.

Q: WILL YOU EVER GET MARRIED?
A: "Qi Dai Ni de Ai" by JJ Lin
Heh yeah, I shall wait for the right her to sweep me off my feet. Sounds familiar?

Q: WHAT SCARES YOU THE MOST?
A: "Say OK" by Vanessa Hudgens
No link -.- (again).

Q: DOES ANYONE LIKE YOU?
A: "Better in Time" by Leona Lewis
More people will like me in time? Yeah right...

Q: IF YOU COULD GO BACK IN TIME, WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE?
A: "Every Heart" by BoA
Yes, I shall cleanse that diabolicalism (and cholesterol build-up in the coronary arteries)

Q: WHAT HURTS RIGHT NOW?
A: "When I Grow Up" by Pussycat Dolls
Yeah, growing up hurts - physically, emotionally, mentally, wtv-lly.

Q: WHAT WILL YOU POST THIS AS?
A: "Hold On" by Jonas Brothers
No. But with all these responses, I should really hold on to my aspirations.

-THE END-

Lol, well most of them are not-true-but-then-again-quite-true. Great. Another poor hypothesis.

The hectic (as usual) week has ended.

The past week was lovely (literally).

Haha saw loads of people folding felt roses, distributing self-baked cookies, giving out chocs, buying gifts and such. All to spread the spirit of Valentines' Day.

Thanks jo, zi min, benson and yujun for the cookies, sweets and chocs.

Guess it'll be a single vday for me, this year.
Maybe it wont be that bad aftall? Cuz i really have loads of stuff to settle like tennis, swimming, running, hw, tests and such.

Anw, to all couples out there, happy vday! ;D & to all singles, happy friendship day! (? as adapted frm ms eu).

Today was chem test. Ahh! Just 1 more minute and I would have completed the last qn. Gahh. But maybe my approach was wrong to start with? Oh well.

Anw, I think I'm starting to get a hang of math, which is a good thing (after getting lost in its mesh of equations for 2 years).

I shant comment on other classes but I certainly know my facts for the following case:

4A & 4C have been wrongly (i'm sure) accused for speculating that people cheated cuz they cldnt have done better than us otherwise (mind you, stop thinking we're elitists alright? & fyi, we dont thrive on academic "competitions"). I have not heard of other involved classes so yea, dont get me wrong if I left you guys out.

Short post before I go to bed.

Tests avalanche:
Fri: Chemistry
Next week: Physics, HCL, Geography
Next next week: Math

Die.

Anw, the past half-week was alright.. nthg much happening.
Went down to DSO today for SMP and woots, now our project got hope le. Haha finally. Finally we managed to generate some ideas. Heh, and our mentor, Ms Wong, was hilarious. She said RV LT4 used to be flooded with water from the toilet next door. And the school used to have many wild cats at night. She was frm SAJC. & she's nice to talk to too.

NMQ results would be out in 2 days! *Crosses fingers* *Prays hard*

Oh, looks like the valentine spirit is spreading to the folks of 4A. The brain wrecks for innovative gifts, mad rush for gifts after lessons, extreme saving up for expensive gifts, folding of felt roses, singles' intentions to join in bachelor's night (?) and more. Well, guess it's the season of love, whether attached or not, friends or more :)

NUSGC! Hey, zq, must join yea? Don't pangseh me :P

"Please release us on time or earlier!" say the post-its stuck on the air-con 5 min before lesson ends, in view of the tchrs (well some of them).

Today's Sunday!

The day I chiong finish my homework.
The day I read through the papers (to find all sorts of interesting reports and baguaxinwen).
The day I promise to run on (but end up slacking at home).
The day I tidy up my room.

Anw, today's one week from last Sun (fei4 hua4) when pengu, bryce and I helped xuling in some orientation for the foreign scholars. Haha, they rocked I tell you. They really shout, they really cheer, they really run. & best of all, they really care.

I mean, how often do you find RVians cheering at the top of their voices while running from station to station? There are, but not many.

Anw, it was based at the City Hall area. Met up at 7.30am at Fort Canning Park - An ungodly hour at an ungodly area. & i reached early (?!). Was in-charge of Group Seventeen, which has a fabulously creative name called:

Seventeen!

Lol, it's creative ok? Other groups still got other names like idk what. Ours is purely our own number. See? So unique.

Anw, our route took us to Esplanade, City Hall, ACM and Fort Canning. Haha the games were alright. Bt the best was this game when you had to balance a water-filled cup on your head (and not hold it) while walking in circles, bending under suspended string, surviving ppl flicking water into your eyes and crossing over suspended ropes. Seemed impossible but most of them did it without spillage! Maybe sometimes we really got to try and not just give up on first sight, cuz we never know what we're capable of.

A gloomy CBD, diagnosed with an economic crisis: "Give me back my mini-bonds ah!"

The magnificent Marina Bay hotels. + our dear paralysed Singapore Flyer, which miraculously recoved from its paralysis on CNY. Flyers these days arh... also know how to take hongbaos.

Seventeen! Arranged in the number 17. Yeah, i know not obvious. Anw, we came in 5th outta 20. So great job guys! This is the group that cheered at the top of their voices at City Hall, that cared enough to count the number of people everytime we stopped, that ran if they could.

Seventeen, you guys were great! "G DOUBLE O D JOB, GOOD JOB, GOOD JOB!"

"And the winner is..."

"SEVENTEEN"

"Oei, you all win 5th already lah"

Yesterday was spent: Glued to the TV!

Was watching TV the whole afternoon and at about 8+ till 11pm.
One whole day burnt just like tht... Haish, but at least i managed to finish 1 duhougan and physics examples. I actually did my homework on Sat and not Sun, can you believe it?

Anw, I totally enjoyed watching Discovery Travel & Living (Ch 16). First was some show on Greek Food (food safari i think). All the fish, sotong (!), clams. Seafood madness! Haha, they looked super tantalising. Hmm.. maybe someday they will invent a grab-and-munch TV?

Next was rough track. Oooh... the sceneries were stunning:
The tropical sun with clear turquoise water and white sand of Ko Phi Phi, the spouting geysers, rushing ravines and icy sunsets in Iceland, the waffle-smelling cathedral railway station in Belgium.
Simply breathtaking. Itching to travel the world!

Next was NGC's Taboo. Disgustingly taboo.
- They eat snakes to boost health and male virility in Vietnam (and to cure malaria?!) and make wines with snakes
- Eat dogs in Hanoi
- Eat all sorts of disgusting food like: fried insects, bear's claws, crocodile heads & bull's balls and sausages (if you get what I mean) in a gala dinner in NYC. Imagine suit or gown-cladded guests struggling with slimy bull's balls (and eyeballs) or attempting to pry open a croc's mouth. So unglam.

Watched Taboo at night too, this one's about love & devotion.
- Did you know that some human vampires in LA actually suck the blood from a purposely inflicted wound on his/her willing spouse?

- African men of some wa-la-la-oh-la-la tribe actually stole wives from other men by attracting them through beauty contests? And they can have up to 10 wives or more! If they are damn hot. But catch is that they must bring the wife to their new home before the husband finds them (cuz he may kill them).
Adulterous but xing4 fu2 if they succeed (cuz the first wife has to shut up and accept tht. LOL!).

-Many (not most) women worldwide marry convicts when these convicts are in jail. Omg, deprived. Like some forbidden love. This Santa Babaran woman actually waited for her husband for the whole 45 years he was imprisoned. And she would visit him twice a week, each time having to bleach and sterilise all her belongings (even the money she brought!) just so she could get pass the drug detection test at the prison and meet her husband, for just that 1 hour. Aww...

Honestly, TV really opens your eyes to the world: all the beautiful places, the extreme practices, the wonderful people (and food), the great architecture (and the great baguaxinwen. jkjk). So parents, think twice about banning your children from watching TV :) & they shall reward me with all their candy and softtoys. Muahaha!

Finally found some time to blog.

The past week was rather crazy i guess...

1. waking up early to spend time with PA :) I think I'm starting to get a hang of it agn :D
2. collecting timetables
3. running 2.4km
4. enduring no link and cheem hcl lessons
5. doing BADLY for math test. I must have been stupid to differentiate wrongly. Just one more "+1" and 6 more marks are mine! Dumbo.
6. Cramming for national microbio quiz
7. Visiting

Last sat was spent going to sch for exco mtg, NMQ "training", visiting Adrian with well, half of ICEP USA 08 and visiting Uncle.

Haha visiting Adrian's house was not bad. Talked abt academics, ambitions and stuff like tht, with them. Not bad I must say. At least half of us are still keeping in contact

(screw adrian for snapping photos of me sleeping and ballantly posting them online. I don't add you on Facebook then you know arh!)

Bio test was rather screwed up. Lesson learnt: Read instructions CAREFULLY, dun chiong through. Dang. & just like tht i lost abt 3 to 4 marks.

Math test was screwed too. Dun wna talk abt it.
(Tell me I wont screw physics and chem & GEOG, my beloved).

Anw, today was national microbio quiz at NYP.

24 teams. 3 ppl each. 1 pencil. 60 MCQs. 50 minutes.

MCQs as they may be, some were really tough cookies. (like who would know stuff not mentioned in syllabus, if not stealthily concealed?)

Now, we have like 4 confirmed wrong answers (as far as I rmbr) out of 60. Damn!
Gosh I really hope we'll get into the Finals, man.

Somehow, a competition I regarded lowly, started to mean so much to me...
