Hey there.

Happy lunar new year everyone! Have an ox-picious year ahead.

Haha two days have past and I certainly hope you guys have gotten loads of hongbaos.

Well for me, the past two days were spent visiting, gorging on goodies [glutton alert!] and getting hongbaos. Nth much rly.

CNY has been rather quiet these past few years given that we dont really have many relatives to visit now. So unlike when I was like in pri sch and we would rush from one place to another, leaving home at 9am, reaching home at 11pm. Now, we can leave at like 2pm and return home at like 6pm. Gosh, i really miss CNY when I was young...

Honestly, everything has quietened down. Even reunion dinners. We used to gather with the extended family (20+ people) but now, we have it in our own families of 4. The atmosphere and excitement just isn't there anymore...

Thoughts aside, CNY was also spent mugging for NMQ. Gahh.. so cheem esp mycology. Fungi fungi fungi *faints* But virology was uber interesting cuz it's kinda related to infections. Cool! Reminds me of the times spent at IMCB, trying to understand viruses. Anw, hope we'll get through on 6th feb! *crosses fingers*

Oh and we got this DSTA/DSO project for SMP. Let's jiayou, guys! Must achieve tht goal!

Happy birthday RV!

She certainly had a great birthday bash today:
4 RVian performances. 3 main speeches. 2 guest schools. 1 cake.

PA duty was alright, save for the sagging mic stand! Gah i demand tht mic stand be retired from service (and be given it's CPF)! Lol. But luckily it didnt hit the ground or we'd be in deep trouble. All the performances were great, seriously. Rly enjoyed it.

Teaching melissa, siling and moquan abt backstage duty was in a way a revision for me too I guess. But the best part was that it paid of well on both ends! RVPA FTW!

CCA today was super uber fabulously fantastically awesomely great! Haha I see some hope in bonding the Part Cs after seeing them go through the SOC together! Like helping each other with the wall and monkey bars. Keep going guys. Remember to do your thrash-outs! Oh and I see them beginning to open up to us which is great for us to dissolve that spec-cadet divider. Hope to be able to bond them well and nurture them well for specialist life. But that's only if they are willing to keep the bond strong!

Played soccer with the Company after CCA. Didnt know soccer could be so exhilarating. Rly enjoyed the bonding time and the fun factor! Haha and that reminds me: let's make PT more fun for them! Make those who quitted NCC regret their decision. Make those who pon join us again. Make those who are not in NCC die to join us. LOL AMBITIOUS. JKJK. But at least get those who pon interested again!

Perhaps I can after all not dislike NCC in the end. But that's for time to tell.

Saw this at Popular. No wonder I always lose in arguments with he-who-shall-not-be-named-but-possibly-knowned.

Before I start off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY YONGGI! All the best for the coming year (ahem).

Anw, today was total suayness:

1: Forgot to take school song then ended up playing th old version. Mrs Look complained to us, but i guess she's right: we must always be prepared. & I actually forgot that the radio and sound cable are in LT1, when I just brought them in like 5mins ago. Damn, my memory's failing me.

2: Lunch was pathetic as we waited for almost 30mins for 3 roti pratas. Gawd... poor customer service. She should at least have told us so we could go buy other stuff if we cldnt wait. & worst still was that she finished cooking all the orders before selling them to us, which means tht the first person, me, had to wait till the last person's share was done before I can buy, even tho mine is alr cooked. Wht's this?!

3: Kena into honglaoshi's blacklist of under-performing students just cuz i just passed my zong he tian kong test. Obviously lah... i didnt know must go memorise words mah. Thought it was like the usual type.

4: Ended physics prac late. Sorry for making you wait, zq!

5: Left my A Math textbook at Coffeebean and raced back to get it. Luckily the guy was nice enough to hold on to it and return to me. (: Damn, my memory's failing me agn.

Anw, good thing is that I finally had my coffeebean / starbucks fix this month! Went to coffeebean at Vivo with Zhen Qin. Haha tried mocha ice-blended (So-so lah) as we chatted for like 2 hrs? Short but enjoyable.

Thanks for listening and trying to advise me for the past few days over msn, man! I really really needed that. Or else I'd probably bottle everything up to myself since I cldnt trust many people such that I could open up and speak my mind like I did to you. I really feel alot better now. & now, I know what I want. Thanks alot! Rly sensed the care and concern.

& it was great chatting with ya over coffee! All the experiences, thoughts and stuff like tht... cool! (Tho i think i hogged th convo. Ok, i musnt do tht anymore... so selfish of me). Hope to go thr agn, BFF! & yes, the cheesecake was oh-so-tempting!

Campteen 08 Dinner and Dance: 28th Dec 08!

Ignite 08! Sorry for the blur like sotong image. LOL!

There ya go! Something much clearer.
Dinner was just a simple buffet, but it just gets better when you're with friends!

Finalists of Mr and Ms Campteen 08!

Lol I shldnt be there, man. No looks, no talent. Dunno how i ended up 1st runner up. Must be cuz partner v pro then pulled up my marks too. Haha. Bt i died at the second dancing part. I cant dance like impromtu-ly esp when i dunno the music. Lol! Bt it was fun while it lasted.
Anw, i think Danish shld have won Mr Campteen.. so shuai4 so smart (RI leh!). Ms Campteen rly deserves it.. poise, looks and talent etc. Forgot her name but she was my partner and she's rly pro in dancing and catwalks.. like duh, she hailed from School of the Arts!

Hey thr. Finally found some time to blog le.

Well, Y1 Orientation's finally over. & now, i feel as free as a fat man who's unbuckled his jeans and allowed his tummy to sag freely in the wind. Lol, weird description.

Honestly, I didnt really enjoy doing this project. Simply cuz it took up most fo my hols and even curriculum time. Like when everyone was happily at home on new year's eve and xmas eve, my comm and I were out buying logistical items and ordering stuff. Srsly, sourcing for cost effective items isnt easy at all. Had to chiong hw too cuz thr really wasnt rly time for me to complete it during th hols. & this week was basically th actual orientation, at the cost of me missing math and staring at dy/dx with all stupidity. Calculus, i shall pawn you someday! Someday.

On the brighter side, it was nvrtheless rather successful. In a sense tht the Y1s were uber enthu with all their loud cheers and rather lively mass dance, save for a few. Haha, all of a sudden, mass dance catches up with the Y1s. I still trying to master Y5 mass dance! Hopefully sy dosent ask me to go teach or demo!

Anw, th games were srsly nt bad. Haha, they rly enjoyed them as seen in the way they play the games like they hve nvr played games before. Overwhelming enthusiasm! Red Carpet was great but campfire didnt rock as much. No lights at grandstand, turned off parents, heck care audience, small fire. Cyrus and eugene, cheer up! (no, they werent th organisers lah).

Overall, thr were some minor cock-ups and last minute arrangements. Still rmbr visiting all toilets to check for working showers with Desmond last night so Y1s can bathe. & zunsiong desperately trying to buy and gather masking tapes for games. We were all really stretched, like rubberbands and maybe compressed springs. We really cld hve exploded, srsly. Rly wish I had someone to talk to to rant abt it during th past few days. Zq, thanks!

All in all, it was a phenomenal experience with both it's pros and cons and i'd really like to thank the following ppl:
1. Desmond: You were great, Mr Stress...Stress Chairman! Preparation thru execution. Haha, not many cock-ups, and you really did a great job with this Orientation from planning to instructing and implementing. I would have crumbled under all that stress if I were you, man. Don't be shy luhh...

2. Wei Liang: Your minutes and one-man-tank-all attitude was rly rly awesome (though not really good for you). Thanks alot for helping with the minutes and manpower allocation and briefings and flow of programmes and i/c-ing for overnight camp and much more! Great job!

3. Logistics Committee: You guys were really great. Like really, From spending time receeing for cheap stuff to coming back on new year's eve to pack oriention pkg. You guys were indeed dedicated to your jobs. Still rmbr Jieying (Pang) getting excited over finding cheap masking tapes and sebastian surveying for affordable carabiners with me and chikan till at night. & everyone packing things tgt. You guys rock! Well, hope you guys will keep up with the good attitude and take away some learning point frm this first project of yours. Best of luck with your future council projects! & did I mention I really enjoyed working with you guys?

4. PSLs and SCs: Thanks alot for hyping up the Year1s like never before. Havent seen such immense enthusiasm from the student body since I joined RV. G DOUBLE O D JOB, GOOD JOB, GOOD JOB! Still rmbr shijing leading the whole cohort in a cohort cheer. Hiong-ster! & thanks alot for helping to carry out the instructions and guiding the Year1s in their induction into the RV environment.

5. Kimberly: Your photos were srsly hilarious! Thanks for doing up the video. It was great (alright, i know my vocab v pathetic) esp the ahem slide! :x

6. Zhi Xiang and mass dance comm: You guys certainly helped them to enjoy mass dance! Awesome feat in RV, I'd say! And thanks for all that butt shaking, i-am-so-sexy dance moves, zhixiang. Really entertaining.

7. Last but definitely not the least, RVPA: Thanks alot for helping out with the technical stuff even if it meant that you had to skip lessons or come back during your holidays. You guys really really rocked my socks off. Esp for campfire when you all lugged the heavy equipment and all that to help set up for campfire. Thanks alot ppl!

8: Oh oh! Wait, thr's one more: Zhen Qin: Thanks alot for the cheers and encouragements aft the whole thing, bro! It really meant alot (esp when I'm all down and negative abt it). It was a pleasant surprise since as I figured out no one would really notice anyway. Was really dying to rant everything on you during the pas week but I figured out you mght hav been busy. Oh, thanks for helping to buy the present! Otherwise, I'd be really stressed. Next time, shall find you when I needa talk, just as you offered! You do the same too yea?

The end. Haha, I bet you were waiting for it like crazy. Haha, omg, this can be my commonwealth essay, man... so long!
