Isn't it funny that each time you go overseas, you tend to have a song that evokes memories of it?
Haha, well that has been true for me all the time, at least in my living memory.
1. China 2006: "U Make Me Wanna" and "Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word" by Blue
- These were mainly the songs I listened to while we went on those endless inter-city bus trips.
- Reminds me of the scene when everyone was fast asleep and I would pbb be talking to one person.
2. West Malaysia 2007: "Every Heart" by BoA and "Would You Be There" by Redwan Ali
- The former was listened to while on those long bus rides when the lights were dimmed and nearly everyone was asleep (expect for gayle who was wailing about havng to pee. LOL)
- The latter was the song I went crazy over just before the trip, always listening to it as I went to school to assemble for the trip.
USA 2008: "Xin Wo" and "Xin Li You Shu" by Fahrenheit and "1985" by Bowling for Soup
- The first two were the songs I kept listening to as I took bus 100 to and from Beach Road to get my NCC ranks sewn and badges bought. They were also the songs I kept listening to on the flight to narita and to minneapolis. (The flight to san antonio was filled with chats with TKL and Achmed blasting in my ears from her ipod earplugs)
- The last song was the song I heard at the 2 theme parks we visited, while queuing for the rides with Ken, JJ and TKL.
Cruise 2008: "Hold On" by The Jonas Brothers and "Kokomo" by The Beach Boys
- Listened to this song repeatedly while waiting to check-in and while stoning in the cabin.
- The latter simply painted relaxing images of pristine beaches and cool blue waters, which kinda reminds me of Hat Patong in Phuket (save for the large-scale commercialisation going on). It happened to be playing as I viewed the Cruise photos too.
