Hey thr!
Finally found time to blog about CampTeen (1st Nov to 4th Nov), aft so many days of bombardment with cursed hw (self-explanatory).

Man, it was seriously the most fun camp I've attended! Way btr than those that cost hundred + bucks (hints). Its purpose was mainly to advocate youths on racial harmony and get us to be ambassadors. Yeah, I know it sounds so i-have-no-life, bt simple SS will tell you it's vital. Moreover, the camp was uber fun!

Disclaimer: Photos will be uploaded tmr.

Day 1:
Met up with yujie at outram and MRT-ed to Braddell (after overshooting a station or two). Haha. Was in Grp 9, th Green group. Were assigned our sleeping quarters, which btw is (LISTEN UP!!) AIR-CONDITIONED! Totally opposite from my expectations of tents as in National Camp / OBS. Haha. Anw, after that we got tgt and came up with a rawking grp name: IGNITE, which has a rawking company flag and a rawking multi-lingual cheer to bring out the theme of racial harmony:

"Ignite Ignite we shine so bright
Ignite Ignite we're here to fight
Ignite Ignite we'll make you cry

5-6-7-8
BilaBilaSepaktedakala - 加油!
BilaBilaSepaktedakala - 再来!
BilaBilaSepaktedakala - Ignite!"

& by 12 noon, we started to bond rly well! Low elements course with Liza trying her best to cross the low wall wit everyone's support rly showed that. Next was high elements (though they claimed thr wld be none) which was so normal.
Followig that was showering time when we had to queue for close to 45mins to shower (along with another person -.-). After tht was Chinese dinner. Was rly surprised when Liza proclaimed her love for braised beancurd and when nasrul and company were asking questions to btr understand th chinese food culture! (: The rest of the night was spent figuring out Yu Jie and Sally's mind-boggling riddles. I am smart okay?!

Day 2:
Had a traumatising breakfast of fried bee hoon (Which i always hate no matter who's th cook). Aft tht was a visit to ACM to learn abt the various cultures in SG. Apparently, it was a gossip session too. Thanks lah. Next, zoomed off to Chinatown where we had an Amazing Race. The running and encouragement rly bonded us. && if nt for the race, I wouldnt hve known thr was a mosque in Chinatown, or of tht yummy pastry shop. Yes, I am THAT pathetic when it comes to Chinatown. Anw, we finished 6th and I must say we hve done our best, IGNITE!

Went bck to base camp @ Shines Outdoors where we did mass dance (it's not scandalous), Henna (which is still on my arm), Ketupat-making (Which I obvisouly failed to master as I cldnt fold it. I knew these hands arent meant for crafts.), Rounders (Eurasian game similar to baseball. Yujie, u feeling btr?) and Chinese Brush Painting.

Aft tht was Malay dinner! It was rly fun to eat with your fingers and th food was just yummy! ( Tho my finger nearly cramped cuz I was desperately trying to straighten it, only to find out it was unnecessary. Yes, shhh!! Kp it to yourself.)

Day 3:
The day started with Dragon-boating at Kallang Basin.

"Splish, splash, 1, 2, Row, Paddles Up, Argh, Owww..., Ahhh"
That practically sums up dragon-boating which rly bonded us esp during the race and the water fights. Haha. The endurance as a team rly pushed us out of our comfort zones as well as to create a sense of belonging to IGNITE. Woots~! Aft tht was a mini paper ball mosaic in preparation for the World Record to be attempted the next day. This is IGNITE's masterpiece. Hold your breaths:

Aft tht was indian dinner with uber fiesty and yummy curry! Slurps. Aft dinner, campfire kicked off! IGNITE performed a random act tht has to do we possession and Gatsby hair-messing advert (unsuspecting Coach Fit was the victim.. :P). Aft tht was mass dance and a super high party where we cld just dance the night away and go crazy! Sudden realisations... Took loads of photos with IGNITE and then headed off to shower. Chatted with yujie, kim and ying xiang on the uber-comfy swing. Haha, it was fun while it lasted.

Day 4:
Set off for OnePeople.sg HQ at Braddell. There, we embarked on our record-breaking activity: Largest paper ball mosaic. Tear, crush, smear, stick. Tear, crush, smear, stick... This went on for about 2 hrs or so. Cheers of elation filled the amphitheatre as the judge awarded us the record (for SG nia lah. bt still..). Think it was 4m + by 2m+. Tell me u watched the news n saw IGNITE... Next was project presentation and lunch. Lastly, we had our appraisal-writing session and gdbyes. And th Samiha-Haziq saga erupted:

Sally aka the vixen (just acting): Mmmm Haziq... Can I hold your hand?
Samiha: (Slaps Haziq's hand away) I held his hand on the first day!

LOL.

She even switched chairs and chucked Sally's chair aside whn they werent around just to sit beside him. We separated her from Haziq during photo-taking when she was clinging onto him, only to leave her sulking. Haha. It was all our pranks. Sry if you were offended.

Aravindas' face also lit up when yj and nic managed to get THAT GIRL'S number for him. Aww... & I dare say tht Krishnan and Aravindas make the best comedy pair!

Thanks alot for the experience guys! I rly enjoyed it. Wish we cld do it all over agn... The walls, the visit, the race, the competition, the partying, the mosaic, the pranks and more. Nvm, looking forward to D&D!
