You had to destroy my chances, destroy my aspirations, destroy my motivation, destroy my outlook, destroy me.
Apologies, apologies, apologies. If only they existed in the truest form. You guys did your job, BADLY. Setting an example? My foot. Out of your control? Yeah right. If you couldnt get the job done, get help, try to salvage the situation, not hurt people or turn passive! Dont pass the problems you all have created, to me! Unfair isnt it? Disappointing.
Some times it's good to remain naive and oblivious. Maturity certainly opened one's eyes, to reality - piercing reality. All of a sudden, everything looked hypothetical, a masquerade, a smokescreen. Deep beneath, you guys arent any better.

Woots~! Cousins are back from London!
Have not met them since last year when they visited for like a week? They're returning to SG for good this time! :D
Speaking of London, I really really really wish I can visit it.
Hmm.. what shall I do there? Let's see...
1) Watch the change of guards at Buckingham Palace (where the Queen stays)
2) Ride the oh-so-famous red double decker London buses the the oldest-in-th-world London Tube
3) Ride the London Eye (similar to Singapore Flyer)
4) Watch musicals all-day long at West End & Leicester Square, like Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia, Les Miserables etc. :D:D Theatre!
5) Walk along the River Thames and cross the Tower Bridge
6) Shop at Harrod's
7) Shop at Bond St and Oxford St with labels like Top Man, River Island, FCUK etc
8) Visit attractions like Greenwich Observatory, Museum of Natural History (great display of actual dino skeletal displays) etc.
9) Visit Shakespeare's hometown at Stratford-upon Avon and catch a Shakespearean play (maybe Macbeth or Othello) at the Globe Theatre
10) Visit grand, majestic Universities in England e.g Oxford, Cambridge etc.
11) Catch West End Live at Leicester Square
12) Fly back to Singapore on British Airways.
OK, STOP DAY DREAMING, ALAN!
You better go and do your holiday homework and get good results. Then you can find a good job and pay for a 1-month trip to London on Business Class!

Next up was SC Elects Camp from tuesday till thursday.
It was a hell lot of fun and learning. I must admit that while Coach Sabrina was a great entertainer (she made everyone crack up), her personal stories and videos really inspired me to relook into my leadership competency and improve on it esp since I now have tht one more blue ring... it is vital. Lots of valuable lessons there.
During the camp, I was in Group 1 aka Green Grass aka nicest banner creators *beams* The name was kinda random and our Instructor Cherie was rly bubbly and fun to hang out with. All the debriefs with her really left us with lots of food for thought and ways to improve.
I must say tht the most memorable activity had to be "Kidnap" last night. Apparently, each grp had one member secretly chained up and locked up at some secret place in school, on a dark and chilly night (like last night). The eeriness of the activity immediately caught on me. Bt nvrtheless, all of us put in our best.
We raced from station to station to complete challenges like singing a cheer with water-filled mouths and singing the sch song with uber fast tempos. It was all in the hope of finding the 3 correct keys to unlock Cyrus. We ran as fast as we could, perspired alot, cared alot for fellow teammates' safety and racked our brains on finding him. (& I had to run past him, separated by a mere shutter in the Hall, shouting "Let's go to LT2!"). We perservered on tgt n nvr once gave up as we ventured into eerie dark corridors and sinister looking rooms. When we finally did find him after running like headless chickens for 30 odd minutes, a sense of satisfaction overwhelmed all of us.
Honestly, I really enjoyed Group 1 with all tht
-crazy one-end-of-the-hall-to-the-other cheer
-passion banner
-carrying "casualties"
-entangling ourselves from th human hand mesh
-caring for each other
-joking during meals
-getting dirty during banner painting
-masquerade
-and photo-taking sessions.
You guys were great: all your care, determination, hard work and team work was indeed a feat for such a short camp.
Tented with Yu Jie, Yong Zhi, Chi Kan and Yu Jun. Had men's talk which usually with someone dozing off. Haha. Bt it was funny and great. All the jokes and care.
Bt the camp was a rather emo one as well with kinda unwanted attention, sudden thoughts of a rather horrible inheritance, friends who faced issues and all tht.
Nevertheless, I have SERIOUSLY learnt alot during the camp and totally enjoyed it. Post camp blues? Possible. RVSC all the way!

Back! (Omg, he actually blogs)
Just ended my back-to-back camp week.
Saturday to Monday was NCC Senior Specialists' Course.
Fun yet challenging I must say.
It was fun cuz I got to meet friends I made during Spec Course, ICEP USA (:D) and National Camp '08. Woots~! Chatted loads with Joash, Jocelin, Gordon, & some random guys and girls.
Why challenging? Cuz we had to wake up uber early each morning (5.30am), complete the mutuals with poise and confidence (well done, RV!), stay awake during lectures (though I know they are gd for me), attempt to bathe in toilets tht were flooded to ankle level *spasms of shock* and all tht.
Haha, did alright for both mutuals just tht my arms drills' was slightly worse :( Gahh... nvm, as long as can improve in time to teach the juniors.
Finally, Monday, 01/09/08, the day we graduated. The day we donned the coveted red-&-white lanyards and received the anticipated ranks. Everyone was simply overwhelmed with pride and happiness. Congrats to Feei (yes, you are imba-ish!) & Shereen ( you did us proud!) for bagging awards. Bt most importantly, u pawned he-who-shall-not-be-mentioned aka MR oh-i-am-so-desperate-for-awards. Man, I feel evil. Bt who cares. *gives the DL smirk*
Thanks to all who came all the way to fetch us (though it really was for the girls, bt thanks alot too) and to PA Y3s for waiting for me for so long (nice choco cornflakes).
